The Red Heron

This painting is a tribute to a painting I first painted over 12 years ago. It was one of the first paintings I created I felt truly proud of. It started me on a path using the sacred geometry and Fibonacci numbers that define my style today. I've always loved sea birds and the heron is a fun one to recreate. Playing a bit on the literary term, red herring, I've found painting a worthwhile distraction in the mystery of life.
